Yes, I know how to use the discussion boards...
I was kinda what you call a silent participant. I
basically gathered alot
of helpful information from the site and tried to
use it in my experiences.
I wanted to wait to post my information until I knew
something definite.
EARLY SYMPTOMS:
As early as the 3rd day I felt like I had symptoms.
I experienced
heartburn, which I have never had in the past. My
boobs were sore and I was
crampy. But both of those signs were like I was
going to start AF. By the
7th day or so I was starting to get a little
nauseous. Then, AF didn't show
up. YIPPEE! The only advice I would offer is to
RELAX (not to worry about
it)!
SUCCESS STORY:
It was truly a miracle! I was pretty certain around
the time that I
ovulated, so we basically did the baby dance every
day from 4 days before
until the 1 day after. I didn't track my temps or
buy an ovulation
predictor kit. I was very fortunate to conceive the
1st month. I am so
thankful! I must admit I was a bit fanatical
though. I constantly thought
about it and wondered and wanted to find out right
then & there. Every
feeling I felt, I assumed was a symptom of
pregnancy. I would definitely
recommend for a person trying to conceive to not
worry! It will happen when
the time is right and when it is meant to be. The
way I look at is if it
doesn't happen this month, maybe it's because of a
very important reason for
it not to happen (kinda like a protection
mechanism). About the 14th day, I
took a HPT and it has a very faint line. I also
felt nauseous that day, so
I made an appt with my general practice doctor. The
next morning, I took
another HPT and it was the same as the day before.
Then, I got the blood
test results from my g.p. doctor and it was
positive! I couldn't believe
it. I think I'm around 5 weeks pregnant now. My
symptoms include: sore
boobs, blue veins, bloating, and extreme fatigue. I
have an appt with my
OB/GYN next week. It's very hard to believe because
I really don't feel any
different. I even took another HPT yesterday just
to make sure that all the
other tests were right (I'm a freak, right?!). It
seems like when you tell
people you are pregnant, they pull out every horror
story possible. I now
have the fear of ectopic pregnancies & miscarriages!
I guess when I go to
my doctor, I will feel a bit relieved; or maybe I
should practice my "not
worrying" thing. Anyway, I hope that this will help
someone because other
people's experiences definitely helped me. I
greatly appreciate it and good
luck ~~~~~~~~~~~
