+++ HPT today - confirmed by doctor!
I'm in shock!
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I've been on,
mostly because I've been feeling
under the weather and a little depressed.
On 01/03/2000, I had my progesterone
checked and is was a little low and
so I started taking progesterone
(lozanges), as requested by the DR.
AF was suppose to arrive last
Wednesday and did not. I tested on
that day and got a - HPT. On Friday,
I tested again and got another -
HPT. I was devastated. I thought this
would be the month. I called my DR
on Friday and scheduled an U/S &
office visit for the following
Wednesday (that would be today).
Well, I got up this morning, feeling kinda
queezy and thought, oh no, AF
is here. I went to the bathroom
and found out that AF was still not here
and so, I decided to do one
last HPT. Something inside me just
clicked at that moment. IT WAS A + HPT!!!
I couldn't believe it. When my
DH got out of the shower, I asked
him to check just in case I was seeing things.
He confirmed that I wasn't!
When I got to the DR's office, I immediately
told the nurse about the +
HPT and she directed me to the
LAB for blood tests & a urine test.
I then had an U/S done, to check the
uterus lining and ovaries. Once the
tests were done, we (DH & I) met with the DR.
She told us that it looked
like I was pg but that I had to keep
on taking the progesterone until the blood
tests came back, just in case
my body wasn't producing enough
progesterone. And, she told us to go home
and wait for her call, within
the next few hours.
So as I'm checking out, the DR runs over
and hands me a piece of paper
and tells me to open it only once
I've left her office. I agree! But before
I could leave her office, her
nurse runs over to me and congratulates
and hugs me! At that moment, I knew...
I was pregnant! I immediately
opened the piece of paper, which
indicated that I was in fact PREGNANT!
I can't believe it! I've been
walking on sunshine all afternoon!
The down side of this story is that my
progesterone is still a very big
factor that could terminate this
pregnancy. So, although we are very very
excited and happy about the
pregnancy, we are trying to be
realistic and cautious, just in case.
Now I wait and see what the blood test
indicate and if all is well, I
see my DR in two weeks for another U/S
to hear my baby's heart!
DH and I are crossing everything,
fingers, toes, legs...you name it,
we've got it crossed.
I'm sorry I've written a book.
I needed to share this with y'all.
Thank you so much for being here for me.
Bobbie :)
+++++ thoughts to all of you!!! xo

Bobbie: Oh, I am so excited for you!!
I don't think that we've ever spoken in
chat or anything, so greetings and
congrats all in the same breath!! LOL!
I am currently taking my first cycle
of clomid, 100mg, and I was
wondering if you could tell me if you
experienced any cramping or anything
before you found that you were
pregnant today? Sore nipples?
Anything? I am totally obsessing because
my body is being more than
crazy!! LOL!
congrats and thanks ahead!
Tiffgard
Hi there Tiffgard!!!
Thanks...and here's what I felt...
I, too, was on 100mg of Clomid last
month and these are the symptoms
that I've had during the past week:
- sore nipples (really sore...painful to my own touch!);
- a little upset stomach during the evenings;
- a mild headache (I never get headaches);
- bloating; and,
- unusual cramping (nothing like AF cramping).
Oh, and by the way, I know exactly how you
feel...obsession and all! Our
bodies do tell us a lot though!
This is the best place to obsess...
with your TTC family!!!
Hope this helps!
Good luck to you!
Bobbie :)
Oh Bobbie!
Now you have really done it!!
I'm really obsessing now!! I have the sore
nipples too, and the cramping that
doesn't feel like af, but more of an achiness...UGH!
Oh, gosh, another week, another week. Hurry up week!
Keep me updated!
Tiff
