++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Momma Kath, I started your herbs last month. I took early pregnancy tests (day 22 and 24) and they all came up negative. I'm now 6 days late. I tested several nights ago and got another negative. This morning I tested with first morning urine and got a positive!!!!!!!! I ordered and have been using Herbs for Her #3. Thanks! Susan Due March 2005 Pregnant after 15 months TTC! Reading the success stories all of those months really helped and I imagined writing my own one day to help get through the tougher days. I am surprised it has taken me this long to tell my story, but I guess I just wanted to be really sure everything was OK. My husband (38) and I (34) had successfully used the rhythm method for a year before we decided to start trying. I never imagined I would be one of those women who had trouble conceiving. The women in my family were very fertile and no one had ever had a problem. When nothing happened after two months I decided to start temping and using an OPK. (I had a lot to learn about patience!) I just felt like I needed to be doing something proactively. It wasn’t until almost a year later that I realized I was temping incorrectly, not keeping a consistent time. I did realize that I was ovulating between the 17 and 19th day of my cycle… not the 14th like I had been using for the rhythm method all that time. This made feel like I had really been trying for much longer since I figured I should have accidentally gotten pregnant much earlier. I called my gyno and she said to call back in 6 months if I had made no progress. This seemed like a waste of 6 months to me, so I made an appointment with an RE at the encouragement of a friend. In the meantime before my appointment I started acupuncture. When I finally had my RE appointment everything came back normal except my late ovulation. I did an unsuccessful cycle of 25 mg clomid in December and then stupidly decided to hold off and try to do things naturally with the acupuncture and Chinese herbs. In May I finally decided to go back to RE. I had one failed 50mg cycle and then on the second one we had success! My ovulation had been moved by the clomid from day 17 to day 10. I was so surprised when I went in for the sonogram that I was about to ovulate. My husband was out of town and I called him and told him to get home on the next plane. He made it home the next morning and several hours later I could feel ovulation occurring. I never could before so I assume it was a clomid side effect. The only other side effect I had was some headaches. I had been temping and looking for any sign possible that I was pregnant. I read symptoms on every web site I could find. I had none but took a test anyway at 10dpo only to get a negative. On 11dpo I had creamy yellow cm for the first time, but then started spotting the next day so I stopped temping and figured another month down the drain. Spotting lasted several days as typical for me before AF, but then it went away. I took another test just to check at 17dpo which turned up negative, too. The next morning I still had nothing when I went into the bathroom. I glanced into the trash and did a double take. There was the faintest of lines on the test from the night before. I quickly took another test and got a similar faint line, but a line is a line is a line. As it was Sunday morning I got myself together and brought both tests back to bed with me to show my husband. He said they looked pretty faint to him. The next day I had the blood test done and it was positive! I had a sonogram at 6 weeks and 8 and all looked good. I heard the heartbeat this morning at 11 weeks. What I did: 50mg clomid, 3 cups daily red raspberry leaf tea, 3 cups daily green tea, multi vitamin, folic acid, garlic, alfalfa, EPO until ovulation and flax seed oil after. Also, I never had this ewcm that seemed so important, so we tried pre-seed for the first time the month we conceived. I don’t know if all of this other stuff had anything to do with it, but I always enjoyed knowing what others had done. Also, as far as lunar cycles this was one of the first time ovulation timed with my lunar cycle. Jane+++++ The only thing I have done differently in the past 6 months
After TTC for 4 months, with crazy irregular cycles, I started taking Momma Kath's herbs (False Unicorn Root and Alfalfa) at the end of July. I O'd a week and a half later, and now, just 4 weeks later, I have a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! Momma if it was not for these herbs I would probably still have flat line temps with no O or BFP in sight. You, your herbs, and all the women on these boards are the reason I have a BFP. Without all of you I would not be writing this tonight. THANK YOU! Amanda Hello Momma Kath! I just got my first BFP!!!!! I had been trying for 18 mo. and after a polyp was removed and 5 cycles of clomid, DH & I did two cycles without meds and then were referred to a RE. I ordered Herbs for Her #3 and started about 5 days into my cycle. I had such high hopes b/c my cm changed drastically from previous months. I started to temp and now 14 DPO I had a rise in temp and some spotting.... With a BFP to boot! Your site is a Godsend! What a great place for women to support each other! I can't thank you enough! Karen
Success! HI Momma Kath, I have been ttc #2 for over 6yrs now, I was always told i was too fat to fall preg.. Then a friend told me to see her doc, which i reluctantly did, He refered me to a gyno who tested me for POCS.. I didnt have it, but he did find out i wasnt Ovulating so he put me on clomid 50 mg and what do you know i am now 6 weex preg.. Im so grateful to my freind... I found your site by chance but as i read others stories of their ups and downs, It filled me with love and hope.. To all of you trying, keep your chins up and never give up hope, My thoughts and prays to all Mischelle from Western Australia *HUGS* Mish my name is lesley and for 4 years I was trying to get pregnant, I had joined a chat room a year ago, can't remember which site it was on and then my pc broke down, I was discussing with other women, how i had just started clomid and my first month was unsuccesful. In the chat room there were women that had been succesful and it was really nice to hear the different stories, it gave me ecouragement to go on. Anyway, just after my pc broke down, I fell pregnant and 4 months ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Jack. I have just got a new pc and just had to find a site, so that I can encourage women to keep going as clomid worked for me. Thanks Lesley |
Monday, 2 August 2004, at 12:22 PM I can give you hope (long)... Hi! I posted on this site about 2 months ago. I said that after stopping BCP after 10 yrs of taking them, my cycles were still long, irregular, and anovulatory for the last 1 1/2 yrs since. My periods had to be induced with Provera each time. My family doctor (not an ob/gyn or re), decided not to induce my period with Provera after it was anovulatory, once again, although the Metformin was increased to 1500mg and I was on my first round of Clomid 50mg. He said just to start round 2 using the combo. The truth is that I have never ovulated in my life. This was a tough struggle for us. I say "was" because with this breakthrough technology my doctor suggested, I was able to ovulate for the first time this month AND get my BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so excited that I ovulated that pregnancy didn't enter my mind until my temps stayed in the 98's for 15 days. I decided to give it a shot and did 5 different HPT's and 2 CBE Digital tests. They were all positive and the digitals said PREGNANT on both of them!!! I'm going for blood work today to confirm what I already know. The symptoms I had were bloating, tender breasts, pulling/stretching uterus, and increased appetite. I still have the pulling/stretching uterus and VERY tender breasts. So, you might like to ask your doctor about what my doctor did if you have long, irregular, anovulatory cycles. If I got pregnant the first time I ovulated in my life, I know you can too. I'm wishing everyone a lot of baby dust. Thank you for reading my story. Posted By: Lea Thursday, 5 August 2004, at 01:59 PM BFP!!!!!!! I got 3 BFP's today from two different brand tests!!! I am 3 days late and couldn't hold out to test any longer. I was so extremely nervous that my heart was pounding when I was testing. This was my 3rd RD of clomid, this time at 150 mg and my P4 was 17!!! Things I did different this month: First of all, I used OPK's for the first time and NEVER got a positive (I used them from CD11 to CD22) I saw a temp jump on CD20 so after a couple of high temp days I stopped using the OPK's. I was using the dollar tree brand, which were only $1 each, so I'm not saying they don't work, but they didn't for me. When my P4 came back 17 and my temps stayed high, I knew I had O'd so I just didn't worry about all the negative OPK's! Now I'm sure I O'd b/c I am PG!!! Second, I took a baby aspirin along with my prenatals. Third, (and I think this did the most good for us), we only BD every other night from CD13 to CD21. This was a lot less stressful than every night. I am they type that likes to cover all bases so it was hard sometimes to wait and somtimes I felt like by skipping a day we would screw something up, but it apparently worked. I LOVE CLOMID!!!!!!! I have my first appt. on Aug 16 so I'll keep everyone informed. I used an online calculator to calculate my due date and its April 11, 2005! Three days ago when i was suppose to start AF, I had "AF like" cramps and sore boobs and backache (all symptoms of AF for me) and I cried and cried b/c I knew AF was there but she never showed!!! Since then I have felt a little more quesy in the morning but nothing too bad. Have a great day and say little prayers that everything is okay with baby! Baby Dust to all
Hi there My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2 years. Our OBGYN was just in the process of lining us with a whole line of tests. During the Dr visits we were also in the process of moving in our new home. Its a beautiful home with a white fence, a baby's room already made up and in a wonderful neighborhood. The very first night we moved in, we conceived. We never had to get any tests done, all I had to do was STOP thinking about having a baby for just ONE month. SO many people have told me that, but I hated hearing it, but its the HONEST TRUTH. I am now 11 weeks along and feel GREAT!
My success story I've been waiting to write this for fear that something will happen to my little one. While I'm not out of the woods yet, I'm approx. 22 wks and can feel my baby kicking as I type. Our little miracle is expected on Christmas Day, and we can't wait to meet him. My dh and I have been ttc #1 for about 2 years now. After 2 first tri losses, I consulted an RE. We had the standard work up where it was determined that I have clotting disorder that was possibly causing the m/c's. As is typical, my RE started me on Clomid right away. After a few failed rounds of Clomid, we tried letrozole. That didn't seem to work either. That's when my RE did another round of bloodwork. This time my FSH was elevated. Yikes! I'm going through menopause at 37?? Thanks to this website and all the supportive ladies on it, I discovered that is simply not true. I found an accupuncturist/herbalist who was a complete Godsend. She taught me some important things about diet and exercise and prescribed a few herbal concoctions to help with my deficiencies. To my surprise, I got pg that very first cycle with her, but it turned out to be a chemical pg. Back to the drawing board... I continued to follow her regimen and decided to try the big guns -- injectibles! The next cycle I did 4 amps of Gonal-F per day on cd 3-11, triggered on cd 12 and had back-to-back IUIs on cd 13 and 14. Two weeks later on April 13, 2004, I got a BFP!! We were excited, but hesitant because we'd been through this before. From the beginning, my betas were great and continued to climb. I immediately started Heparin injections twice daily to combat the clotting disorder. We had an u/s on May 7, 2004 and saw the heartbeat. Baby was fine and measuring a few days ahead. Had another u/s on May 19, 2004 and saw our baby again. Heart was still beating strongly and baby looked great. To my relief, my RE released me to my OB. He said he had a good feeling about this one. At our 1st OB visit, we heard the heartbeat on a doppler. It was so cool and a first for us. We were still in a state of shock. Could this be for real? At our last u/s on July 28th, we found out our little baby is a boy. It makes me cry just thinking about it. If everything keeps going as it is, we will have a new family member by the end of this year.
Thank you, Momma Kath!! And thanks to all the wonderfully, supportive
ladies here. Without y'all, this journey would have been unbearable. I
guess it is true that God works in mysterious ways. I know the road has
been a rough one, but I don't think I'd change a moment of it. I've
developed friendships with some incredible women and learned a great
deal about myself along the way.
