Sunday, 21 September 2003, at 04:20 PM I know I come and go on this site, but I wanted to say I finally have good news First I want to say thank you to all the women out there who helped me through this journey. You all were so helpful and uplifting. I'm sorry to say that I had to take a recent break from this site though. I was letting ttc consume my life and it was having an affect on everything. I even injured myself while running resulting in a 7 week layoff and 5 pound weight gain (however this could be why things turned out they way they did!) Being the neurotic and obsessive person I am, I decide to let go completely. I put complete trust in my RE and the powers that be. I was giving myself just a few more months. And what do you know. After almost 2 years, we finally did it (conceive that is)! I'm still in complete shock. I'm only 5 weeks (pray, pray, pray). I still look at the tissue when I wipe, out of fear. I could'nt even take an hpt. Went to Re at 36 days for blood work. After 3 agonizing hours, I got the call and the numbers were excellent. I just wanted to write this, again to say thanks to this wonderful site! Truely an assest to those of us struggling. My best goes out to all of you! IT WORKS! DH and I have been ttc for 8 months (I'm 36, he's 31). After our first attempt using egg whites we are now happily 6 weeks pg! We can't believe it and wish we'd tried it ages ago. No infection and a great big +++++! What a bonus as we were just about to visit our GP and ask for tests. I have been on my first cycle of clomid, and! It worked! After trying to conceive for 3 years myself and my husband decided to try clomid. During intercourse I also put a pillow beneath my back to keep sperm inside for atleast 20 minutes during the days I ovulated and yeppee. I am 6 weeks pregnant, thanks to clomid. The success stories on this web page helped me alot, it gave me new hope and renewed faith. For those who are still trying, remember keep the faith and pray! I AM CURRENTLY USING CLOMID FOR THE FIRST TIME. I ALREADY HAVE A CHILD AFTER 2 LAPROS DONE TO ME. I WAS ALSO ON ZOLADEX FOR 4 MONTHS BEFORE MY BOY WAS BORN. HE WAS MY MIRACLE CHILD. THE OTHER THING AS WELL, I HAVE MS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS FOR 4 YEARS NOW MILD THANK GOD. THESE CLOMID WAS GIVEN TO ME BY MY DOCTOR AFTER MY OTHER LAPRO WAS DONE 6 MONTHS AGO. WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FALL PREGNANT NOW FOR 1YEAR AND A HALF TOO LONG CONSIDERING 2 YEARS PRIOR TRYING THE FIRST TIME. MY FIRST LAPRO CAME UP THAT I HAD MAJOR ENDO, SO HE ONLY TOOK PHOTOS. THE NEXT ONE WAS AFTER TAKING ZOLADEX FOR 4 MONTHS WITHOUT PERIOD FOR 4 MONTHS. THEN AFTER THE LAPRO THE NEXT CYCLE THE BOY WAS CONCEIVED. YES OUR LITTLE MIRACLE CHILD. THAT IS MY STORY, TOO MUCH TO HANDLE. MANY THANKS FOR LISTENING TO ME . ANA |
I don't know if it was the Herbs, the chlomid or if it was just my time. Received a positive today after a year of trying. Thanks again. Ally i have been on bromocriptine since march 2003 and in july 2003 i got pregnant but also took clomid for a month which didn't work because it got my cyst bigger and cause the ovary to expand. i finally took vitamin e folic acid which work a miracle for me and i must say thank god because if it wasn't for him it wouldn't be possible Hi!!! I'm so excited I cant even think straight! haha. I just found out this morning I'm pregnant. I've been taking Vitex and False Unicorn Root. Thank you soo much! Love, Katie After 15 months I am pregnant! DH and I have been married 6 and 1/2 years now and I am happy to say that we will be welcoming our first child before our 7 year anniversary. We tried very hard for 1 year, took herbs, baby aspirin, cut down on caffeine, stayed in bed after BD, nothing was working. Then went to my OB/GYN did some testing and discovered I had 1 blocked fallopian tube. Dr. put me on clomid for 3 months with no luck then referred me to an RE. At this point I was obsessing and decided to just take the month before RE appt. off. So we BD'd but only when we felt like it, I skipped the OV tests and did not think about it. Sure enough 3 days before my RE appt. at 18 DPO, two days before Labor Day, WHAMO BFP in 15 seconds! I took about 3 more in the following days until I could get in to get a blood test and all were very dark +++++. So here I am 8 weeks pregnant and due on May 2nd 2004. Saw and heard the baby's heartbeat last week and all looks good so far. I am still very nervous and cautious but have a good feeling all is going well. As for symptoms: Don't give up! I only have 1 good tube and when we were not even trying IT HAPPENED! Baby Dust to All! I am a lurker on this site and these stories gave me hope so I am giving some back! Thanks for such a great site Momma Kath! Thanks! Karen, Todd and Baby Bean Dearest Momma Kath, I have been a member of ttc for many years. This was the only place where I found both strength and comfort. I tried getting pregnant for three long years before it happened. I remember ordering one of your keepsake pregnancy tests so that I can have it ready if it ever happened. Well I think it brought me great luck, I started using the fertility monitor on March 1st and on March 19th I conceived. I now have a beautiful, heathy baby girl named Emily Marie. I want everyone to know that if you don't lose faith and hope everything is possible. Love, Mari BFP - my story! Saturday, 11 October 2003, at 11:19 AM Good Morning Ladies! Yesterday, I tested a BFP and had a blood test confirming it at the docs office! EDD 6/20/04. :) We have truly been blessed with our own little miracle. I've only posted a couple of times, but have read so many other posts that have answered so many questions for me. Just over a year ago, DB had his 1st SA - would you believe a count of zero?! On top of that, I have never ovulated before in my life! DB had a bilateral varicacele - surgery in April proved to be quite effective - his count is now normal - low normal, but normal! After the recheck and new SA results, my doc put me on clomid - we were blessed our first time out! We have come so far in the last year. Going from zero sperm to a normal count is a miracle! Ladies - keep your faith and postive thoughts. I've also learned the power of prayer. We have prayed so much for this blessing and our prayers have been answered. Stay focused and positive and believe! Posted By: ChrisB 34, TTC#1 2+yrs, clomid 50mg 5-9, cd34, dpo13 Pregnant Finally! I am so happy to be finally here. I have waited for two years to post this. I have battled depression and anxiety over our infertility issues. I was on clomid off and on for the two years. I became immune to it and it cause hyperstimluation, which is very painful. We did not want to do injections until it was our last chance. We did our injections this time and it was not as bad as I had expected. I had many signs, food cravings, sore bb's, tiredness pink discharge. At one point it was red and I thought AF was here. Good Luck to all, it is a long journey but well worth it. BrookeS Hi Momma Kath: I wanted to submit my success story..... and I wanted to thank you very, very much for all of your kind words and great advice. Here goes, I was TTC for a year and a half before visiting a specialist (though, I had not been using birth control for the prior 3 1/2 years). My regular ob/gyn had given me clomid for a few months to see if that would help, but it did not. After trying clomid for 3 months, m y ob/gyn sent me to a clinic that she herself had gone to. I was diagnosed with endometriosis (later identified as stage 3) along with a short luteal phase. I chose to have the laparoscopy and the RE removed quite a bit. I had really wanted to conceive on my own and I was determined to do everything possible to increase those chances. Unfortunately, I was not able to do so. I did a few rounds of IUI and then two rounds of IVF. After my first IVF treatment, I was told that my egg quality was not great (due to the endometriosis) and that my fertilized eggs tended to multi-nucleate (not a good thing!!). I was so discouraged - and depressed, I really felt hopeless. Anyway, my husband and I decided that we would do one more round and then take a break. In between the rounds, I used some chinese herbs for 2 weeks and then during the first month of my 2nd IVF cycle (antagon cycle with the pill) I used Momma Kath's Herbs for Her. In addition, I had been doing accupuncture for the prior 4 months. I believe that the combination of all of these things helped me reach success. I am now 10 weeks pregnant and sometimes still can't believe it! Of all of the resources out there, www.tryingtoconceive.com along with Momma Kath and everyone's input, feedback, advice and encouragement was by far the best. I wish all of you the best of luck. Best regards, Shallini :) Posted By: franky, ttc#2, 5 mo Wednesday, 5 November 2003, at 09:05 AM Just wanted to let everyone know after one month of being absent for this board, we are pg. :)) We are so happy, and I just wanted to say thanks to all who commented when I was here, it was nice to know someone was listening. Here's what we did: bd on o day, never did that before, dh taking swiss multivitamin and B complex with vitamin C daily. Me taking prenatal vitamin and 1150mg red raspberry capsules daily. We relaxed, all books were put away and no obsessing over every little symptom. I feel wonderful, a little nauseous when a certain smell comes my way but fine. Here's to knowing that the miracle of life can happen for all with a little patience. Good luck and +++thoughts to all! Franky |
