    Got a Positive!! (novel)
Well for those of you who have asked me to post "how" ...here it is. DH and I have been ttc our second child since August 99. I know that seems like a very very very short time for many of you, but for me it seemed like an eternity. Thank goodness i had you all as support, you have been wonderful!

So, anyway, what i did different this cycle was to take 1 teaspoonful of robitussin for about a week before O. I never had very good ewcm, so this seemed to do the trick. It did the trick the first time i used it when ttc #1, also.

Our strategy was to bd everyother night till temp rise. DH has never had an SA, but I am too lazy to bd EVERY night! LOL My cycles are pretty regular, but still somewhat tricky, as they vary from 27-33 days, so I was never quite sure when O would be..early/late..whatever. Throw in the fact that dh occasionally travels for business and you'll see we definitely had some obstacles to overcome. Overall, I certainly cannot complain. I got through this successfully by being as informed about my cycles and my body as possible (thank you Toni Weschler and fellow TTC-ers), by charting temps, and by planning and sticking to my strategy each cycle. I did not try herbs, teas or vitamin supps., but what getting there LOL. I am a moderate coffee drinker (bad) so I have cut that out already. (yes, you can get pg if you drink coffee, but i wouldn't recommend it--it lowers your chances).

As some of you know, I have ZERO will power when it comes to testing and went in for a beta test last tuesday...weds, got negative results. Was so sure that I was pg due to undeniable sympts (will get to that part), that it just destroyed me when i got the call. Last night, when sympts were back again, and no Af yet on day 32, I decided to buy some hpts that came out very positive. I need to have another beta test to confirm, but I trust what my body is telling me.

Early sympts...as soon as 4-5 dpo's...would feel nauseous through out the day and gag here and there. Also experienced indigestion for a couple of days which I NEVER ever have. 5-7dpos, felt lots of twinges in belly, even at night and sharp occasional pains in pelvis when walking. 7-12dpos, felt tired, hungry all the time, and nauseous...no boob pain or tenderness at all. So that is it. Thank you all so much for being such good friends to me in these past few months we have spent together!
I can't wait till we meet again in the Alum. Chat room!!

    Subject: Pregnant at last!!!

    Ok here's the details!!

    I got 2 ++ hpt's. One w/ first morning urine and
    one with mid afternoon
urine. Both were faint +, but dark enough to see
    with out squinting or
turning the stick!! If Dh can see it w/o me pointing
    it out it was
definitely ++!!! I used Confirm both times.

I didn't temp or use OPK's this month (on the advise
    of my dr). I went
on CM alone which made me edgy to say the least! I
    was so used to
relying on all 3 to time BD!! DH and I DTD 6 nights
    in a row starting
on cd11. He was a good sport, but that 6th night
    was exhausting for
both of us! I had EWCM starting cd13-cd15 so I was
    pretty sure timing
was right. I never had any dry days; have had
    yellowish CM ever since
    O'ing.

As far as symptoms go, I have only had the CM and af
    type cramps since 6
dpo. No sore bb's, no nausea, no cravings, no hot
    flashes, no
irritability. In fact, I was sure af was going to
    come early this
    month!!

I guess the moral to my story is the less I knew the
    better off I was!
With no OPK's to try to interpret or temps to
    question, I just went on
    instinct with CM.

    Subject: pregnant!!!!
First month of clomid and I am on cycle day 27 and
    tested a very faint
positive this a.m. I definitely contribute it to
    clomid and Robitussin. This
was the first mo. I saw eggwhite fluid. Going to the
    DR. today to get a
blood test. Please pray for me!!!!!!! Thanks, Marcia

    Here is my story!

I after ttcing for 17/18 months-I lost count, I had
    a HSG done. That was
done on day 8 of my cycle. I conceived 10 days
    later. I also took vitex
    500mg, Vit B6 100mg, Baby aspirin 81mg, and prenatal
    pills daily. We Bd
everyother day starting on day 13 until day 19. I
    think I O'd on day 18. I
kept my hips in the air for an hour after bding. My
    temps went up and down
but on day 12dpo it was up to 98.6 and it has never
    been that high before. I
usually start spotting on day 11 or 12 and didn't.
When my temp was still up
on 13dpo and I hadn't started spotting I tested with
    an aimstick and got a
    faint line after 2/3 minutes.
Some of my symptoms were breaking out on my back at
    4dpo. That has never
happened before. I was very thirsty starting at
    10dpo. And my eyes kept
burning, like when you have a fever, that started
    about 11dpo. My bbs were
sore to but they always are.
My advice is get to an RE as soon as you feel its
    been long enough in trying.
It can save a lot of time and heartache. Lots of
    luck to you all!!
