I have been meaning to post this since the day I tested postitive! I am 25 and dh is 27. We have been ttc since our wedding night in July. Of corse like everyone else I thought forsure we would get pregnant right away, but no. Month after month all negitive tests. I was charting everything. After six months of ttc when we thought I was ovulating, we bought the Clear Plan Fertility Monitor. On the third month I got pregnant! I was not ovulating regular at all! One month is was cd 14 next month cd 21. We were always trying on day 14 and a few days before. I had used the ovulating sticks but they were giving me a peak too soon. Clear Plan Monitor was so much more accurate! To the day! I thought we were going to have to use Clomid or even more like invitro. Its so easy to think the worst. I feel so much for the woman who have to wait and try so hard tc. My heart goes out to them. Another few notes were that I started a workout routine, I read that exercise produces the hormone you need tc. I also ate a lot of carrots and took evening prim rose oil, it gave me way more cm. After bd I layed upside down with feet on slanted celing for seriously 2 hours. I had always layed with pillows under hips for 30 mins or more but nothing, so I was determined!! I have a tiped or tilted uterus which I did not know untill after I conceived. This made it harder for sperm travel. Good luck to all and hope this helps someone. If I could I would give someone my monitor I would, if you are serious buy one its worth every penny. My due date is December 20th. Now 10 wks. Best Christmas Present ever!! We saw heart beat and were given two ultrasound pictures. Dh had taken sperm count test and it said he was under 20 million, dont be discouraged you only need one! Tested on cd 25 and a very big +. I cryed for hours, looking at the stick every 5 minutes & cryed some more. It will happen for most of you, just have patients. Good things are worth waiting for! Baby dust~*~*~*~*~*~* |

I was one of the 10% who conceived fraternal twins while taking Clomid. It was the 4th cycle (two cycles of 50mgs and two cycles of 100mgs -generic brand). In fact, the doctor estimated that they were conceived three days apart. :) Good luck to everyone. Kristi |

Hi! My name is Carla and I am 26 years old. My husband and I started trying for a baby in February 2002. After 3 months of normal cycles, my period never came. After many negative pregnancy tests, I started to think something might be wrong. I went to the gyn and he ran some blood work. The tests came back positive for PCOS. I was given a shot of progesterone to bring on my period. It came, but the next month never came either. I had to get another shot and was feeling pretty frustrated. I started on Clomid 50 mg cd 2-6 in October. For the next several months, I had periods that were normal, but no pregnancy success. In December I started 100 mg Clomid cd 2-6 and Glucophage 1500mg every day. In January 2003, we found out that my husband had a low Seman Analysis. So, we had fertility issues on male and female sides. In February, I had a HSG test to see if my fallopian tubes were open. This procedure was very painful for me and showed no blockage. Five days later, I had a positive opk and my husband and I tried again for our miracle. I just knew that this cycle was a waste and we were to start IUI the following month. Ten days later, I found out that I was pregnant! There are several things that I credit to our success. The main reason is the power of prayer and faith. A friend from work suggested that my husband and I hold hands and pray every night for a baby. Even though we had been praying individually, I thought it couldn't hurt. One month after we started this prayer, we were pregnant. I also believe that the HSG cleared my fallopian tubes. Clomid and Glucophage helped to regulate my period and bring on ovulation. I am now 16 weeks pregnant and so thankful for our miracle. My advice for anyone reading this is never give up and believe in the power of prayer. Just wanted to share my egg white story, in case any one is doubtful! I have been TTC for over 2 years, and it has been a bumpy ride. After theinitial 12 months off TTC, I had a lap. done, and ended up back in hospital with a post operative infection of the abdominal wall. Nightmare. I then managed to fall PG in May 2002, but sadly lost my baby to a missed miscarriage at 13 weeks. Back to the drawing board. We have been renovating houses, moving interstate, dealing with loads of work dramas, and to be honest, the whole TTC thing was really getting me down. Since moving interstate I decided to try and renew my enthusiasm. I had read about the egg white thing, but wasn't sure if I had the nerve: too scared of a potential infection. At the arrival of my last period, however, I thought, why not. This month I am going do do every possible thing in my power to get pregnant. Here is what I did: (Normally we would "go for it" and have sex about 6 times, but we were aiming for quality no quantity!) AND WE USED EGG WHITES, EXACTLY AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE TTC SITE! And the result? No infection at all. And 2 weeks later..............BFP!! (In fact I have done 2 HPT.........both have come up +++++++++!) So, if anyone is doubtful, don't be. It is the only thing I have done differently this month, so I am giving credit for my BFP to the raw egg whites! Thanks Momma Kath....... Lucy |
