So many women have gotten pg (including me edd 12/21/02) learning from each other and exchanging information. Not to mention having the shoulders and support to weep on when needed. I'm so glad I found this website! Once again congratulations and thank you!!!!! Betsy |
My dh and I had been trying to conceive for several months to no avail. This month, since I don't have any EWCM I started taking the Robi as many of the women on the TTC board recommended. Well it gave me one day of EWCM and 2 days of Watery CM. Obviously that was enough to do it. This month we bd'd for 3 days before O, skipped the day of O, and bd'd again the day after O. I had less pg like symptoms this month than the months prior. I had a "zingy, stingy" feeling in only my right breast. Nothing in my left. The pain was more in the nip than the entire thing. I had a pain in my left ovary after O. I was worried at first cause I didn't know what it was. The pain gradually kept moving downward towards the middle. I had an implantation dip at 10 dpo. I had been really hot at night, waking up sweating! (I live in Michigan and it is only April here! brrrrr) I had also been feeling really hot during the day. I had taken my temperature during the day and it always said 99.0 - 99.3. Coincidence? I think not! lol I took a hpt at 12 dpo and got a faint pink line with Early First Response. Of course dh didn't believe it. He thought it had to be wrong. So, I took another one at 13 dpo and another faint line, slightly darker than the first. I did that for 4 consecutive days before he finally REALLY believed it. Well, since I took the test before AF was to arrive, I got really paranoid when it was time for AF. I was getting cramps like AF was going to come. It never did. I was sooooo worried. I started doubting the tests. I started being paranoid about miscarriage. I am almost 36 and dh is 40. I will tell you about my cp. I checked it every day (at least once lol). It was very different from what I was use to. It couldn't make up its mind what it was going to do. That is what made dh convinced that this was the month. It was always regular prior to pg. Low and Firm before O, High and soft during O, then low/medium after O until AF. This cycle it kept changing every day. Medium/Medium, High/Soft, Low/Firm! Go figure! CM? Well I didn't have near as much cm as I usually had after O. It kind of dried up a bit. Usually after O I stay between sticky and creamy. This cycle it dried out to between dry and sticky. Well I think that's it! I hope it help someone still TTC! I want to thank everyone one the board for their encouragement and support (and for listening to me whine and vent lol). Especially my cycle buddies from my last cycle. (Mollie, Lissa, Andeel, Angel & Colleen) Your support helped me through a very difficult time! A special thanks to Momma Kath for creating such a wonderful place for women to come during a very special time in our lives.
Sandy, EDD is 12/26/02 Merry Christmas to Me! lol :-)

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 15 months, and had an RE appointment lined up for a few weeks later. The lucky month involved 100 mg of Clomid and an HCG shot. Even though I wasn't supposed to, I did pregnancy tests starting at 10dpo. The nurse had told me not to test until 15dpo because the HCG shot could still be in my system and could cause a fale positive. The pregnancy tests all came up positive. On 14dpo I did not tell my husband, but went in for a blood test. The doctor said that the HCG shot should be out of my system and that I am indeed pregnant. I was so excited and told my husband that night. I am now 6.5 weeks pregnant and go for my first ultrasound in 2 days. My pregnancy symptoms -- early on --a lot of heartburn; the smell of cigarette smoke made me gag; tired ; now-- fatigue, urinating a lot, and somewhat sore breasts For anyone who thinks it cannot happen to them, don't give up - it can!

Hello, I've been lurking on the boards for about 3-4 months, haven't posted too much..TTC for about 9-10 months, really getting serious about it for 7 months with intense charting :) I wanted to give back all i could..so here is what i did this month for success! :) Sorry it's long. We bd'd every other day leading up to ovulation and then on cd 18 in the AM did an OPK and it was + so bd'd that morning and the next evening, then 4 days later and again 4 days later(i'm giving every detail!). The big big difference this month was that I had an HSG on day 6 of my cycle. Another difference was that this month I relaxed much more at home and at work, hanging out with out my dh going out to bars, having a few beers now and then.. tried to be really carefree. I took 2 Evening Primrose oil capsules and 2 Vitex every morning and evening and Dong Quai herb supplement in first half of cycle. Drank 2 dosage cupfuls of Guaifenesin (Plain Robitussin)every morning and evening also from about day 11 till after ovulation. (Ovulated day 18 or 19). After ovulation, I applied Prolief brand Progesterone cream (1 to 2 pumps) every morning and evening. I drank caffeinated green tea the first half of cycle and decaf green tea the 2nd half. I also drank Red Raspberry tea and Pregnancy Tea(traditional Medicinals brand) on and off throughout cycle and some detox tea in first half.I took Rainbow Light Brand Complete Prenatal System vitamins (6 per day which is recommended dosage),a B-Complex vitamin, Vitamin C 500mg and Baby Aspirin daily throughout cycle. In second half of cycle I took false unicorn root liquid herb supplement. geez..that all sounds obsessive! :) i think that's about it.. drank more water .. did shoulder stands (like in Yoga) for as long as i cou ld after bd'ing and then laid in bed with a pillow under my hips. Slept that way as long as i could too! :) let's not forget the "visualizing" I did during and after bd! I really wanted it to happen so I visualized it happening.. maybe it helped :) ok, now for some symptoms: had ewcm days 18 and 19 and bd'd those days. day 18 was the +OPK. starting on 3 dpo i had sticky mucus, then it was creamy from then on and still is (today is 20 dpo) CP went from High and Soft on 3dpo to Low and Hard 5dpo to 10 dpo.. it varied depending on the time of day, but mostly LH those days. Then on 12 dpo it was out of reach and was high and medium to hard whenever i checked after that. I had cramps on 3 dpo nothing serious and some more on 8 dpo and really no cramps until 15 dpo. From then on I've had cramps but very mild most of the time.. just enough to notice it. This was a bit different from my usual cycle where I have more frequent and worse cramps just before AF.I have a metallic taste after i brush my teeth, but I get this before AF every month. Very sore breasts from 8 dpo on. Breasts are very large too.. more acne than normal. No nausea at all..I had very vivid dreams starting about 4 or 5 dpo on. On 13dpo and 14 dpo had very light spotting only noticed on the toilet paper when urinating. This is when i normally would have got my period..On 16 dpo in AM I did an Aimstick Pregnancy test from the TTC Store, and it showed a very faint line within 3 minutes. I started to get a cold on 13 dpo and it turned into a major disaster with sore throat and very stuffy keeping me awake several nights (15, 16 and 17 dpo). i never get sick so saw this as a sign of a diminished immune system from pregnancy maybe..had such high temps..triphasic starting 12 dpo.. reaching 99.0 on 18 dpo.. wasn't sure if it was a fever.. On 18dpo did another test using a CVS pregnancy test which is supposed to be the 2nd most sensitive after Aimstick and the line appeared within 2 min. which felt like 20 min..My doctor confirmed with me today at 20 dpo. I'm in shock and still sick so it hasn't sunk in.. also, i keep feeling like i don't want to get my hopes up until maybe 10 weeks pass.. i'll be 37 in 2 months so hope it "sticks"! :) Thanks to all the great posts and success stories on this site.. i've read every success story posted on the site more than once! i wanted to give a lot of the same details that really helped me out. i feel like if it happened to me (and dh was just told he had slow motility too..) that it will happen to all of you nice women. love to all, cate |

This is such a wonderful website - I wish I had found it earlier. Well, my DH and I have been TTC since 1998 and the past year has been the hardest one emotionally. Amazingly, after my first cycle of 50mg clomid and an IUI, as of today (15 dpiui) the HPT (fourth one I took this week!) was faint but positive! I purchased 3 HPTs and took them at 9 dpiui, 11 dpiui & 12 dpiui. Obviously 9 dpiui was way too early but I couldn't help myself - I felt a strong pain in my right ovary (similar to Mittleschmertz, but a little more severe than ususal) at 7 dpiui (implantation), at 8dpiui I felt a bit queasy and from then on kept getting fluttery feelings in my uterus. I had no implantation bleeding. From 9 dpiui on I have felt a small amount of pressure on the left side of my uterus. 11 dpiui the hpt was a faint line but DH and I couldn't tell if it was really a line. 12 dpiui it was the same as 11. So I didn't buy another test until the night that AF was due (yesterday). She never showed. This morning I jumped out of bed at 4:30 am! I couldn't sleep I was so excited. Within 1 min, the faint line showed and within 3 minutes it got darker. We are so estatic. I just want to encourage all TTCer's not to give up. I had an HSG last spring and my tubes were healthy, my DH's sperm was borderline count (2 separate counts showed 19m and 24m ppm) and a low motility (not sure of the #s). My BBTs showed that I was not ovulating every month although when I did ovulate I had lots of EWCM and I experienced Mittleschmertz late in my cycle (my luteal phase may have been too short). My cycle lengths varied from 25-30 days. Two cycles ago, a post-coital exam within 12 hours of BD showed no live sperm though plenty of EWCM so my CM was thought to be a bit hostile toward's DH's little spermies. My OBGYN finally sent me to another OBGYN in my area that is famous for infertility successes. Well this looks like another success story!I'm going to call the doctor Monday morning to schedule a blood test. I never believed people when they said they just knew when they were pregnant, now I see what they meant. Emotionally, I have an overwhelming feeling of contentment. Physically, I am exhausted - going to bed 2 hours earlier than usual and getting up a bit earlier. I have been on prenatal vitamins for 2 months and feel very healthy. I had a dream soon after IUI of holding a blonde baby girl...we'll see. :) Thanks to all
who've shared their inspirational stories. I hope my
story can encourage someone else not to give up!
