To everyone, especially the chat room gals
Well, the 6th month was the charm.
I have had 3 + urine tests (for some
reason my dr does not do blood
tests). It fits with my symptoms
(late af, sore bbs, very high temp...)
Things I did differently this month...
only one...put a pillow under my
    hips after bd'ing.
I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you.
I do not think I could have
survived the last 6 months without you....
    It has been very trying.
I think DH would have deserted me if he
had to hear all my obsessing that
you did. thank you. thank you. thank you.
Here is some dust for everyone:
    ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Take care, and I hope I am not back here soon,
    if you get my drift
    (hoping and praying I don't m/c)

thank you God for this wonderful gift
OK ladies here are the details (m)
I stopped bcp early Sept 99 and of course thought
I would be pg right away. Burned through about eight
hpt's the first month in disbelief b/c everyone
I know got pg the first try.
Anyway, then I read TCOYF and found this site,
started temping and charting since Nov.
I've been blessed w/regular cycles, easy to read
temps, nice o shifts, ewcm and a 13 day lp,
but month after month nothing was happening.
Of course, this was the month that I knew
I wouldn't get pg b/c I had to travel for work
during cd 12 -14 and I have been oing on cd 14.
I have to say I was "bad" this month b/c I figured we
didn't have much of a chance. Drank coffee and a
little alchohol on weekends before o and coffee after o.
I did start taking red raspberry this cycle and
I have been taking baby asprin for a few cycles
and a vitamin every day (Flintstone chewables
LOL with 400 mg folic acid).
    So, here's how things went.
These temps I took at around 1 am b/c that's
what time my cats wake me up to be fed
(gee, guess I'm in good practise for midnight feedings LOL):

    • cd1 & 2 af
    • cd3-5 spotting & temp 97.1 cd5
    • cd6 97.3 creamy cm
    • cd7 97.2 creamy cm
    • cd8 97.3 creamy cm bd, just for fun!
    • cd9 97.1 creamy cm
    • cd10 no temp, cm is thick, blobby & stretchy
    • cd 11 97.3, didn't check cm b/c didn't want to know.
BD'd then left for Texas. O pains rt side
    • cd12 97.1 very stretchy and blobby cm %@^$#$# I'm in Texas!
O pains left and right side
    • cd13 97.1 EXTREMELY stretchy, clear cm double
$%^@$%^ I'm still in Texas! O pains left and right side
    • cd14 97.1 didn't check cm, left for home.
One hour remaining on flight back home and
I have major o cramp on left side, knew I was oing.
Out of my way! I'm ovulating! Get me off this plane!
Raced home, hoping not to get a ticket and dh &
I bd'd with the pain still going in my left side.
    • cd15 97.1 not much cm
    • cd16 97.3 bd no cm
    • cd17 97.6
    • cd18 & 19 no temp
    • cd20 98.0
    • cd21 98.1
    • cd22 97.8--implantation dip?? Absolutely starving could not eat enough
    • cd23 98.1
    • cd24 98.0--consistent cramps in bbs and pelvic area,
big blob of wet cm,figured af was on her way
    • cd25 98.1--consistent cramps in bbs and pelvic area,
cm was actually stretchy. Knew af was on her way
    • cd26 98.1--same cramps in bbs and pelvic area
    • cd27 (today) 98.0 but test at 5:30 was 98.5 +hpt aimstick and blood test

Not too many symptoms. I was totally famished the day around
implantation. Over this past weekend I got really nauseous
(wanted to puke at the smell of toast) but it could be
b/c I was very tired. My bbs are a little sore and the
cramps I feel down below are similar to o pains.

Also DH was dx with hypothyroid and started Syntheroid
back in feb. We haven't done an SA so we don't
know if his swimmies were affected.

I am still in total shock and am so grateful
for all of the support on this board!!
I had just flown home over this past weekend
and told my grandpa we were trying,
now I can tell him he's a great grandfather!!
    Love,
    Christine

Hi guys - Got blood test results today - I'm pregnant!!
Wow, first I want to say thank you to everyone
who supported me on this board - it was my sanity!!
I conceived dd (exactly 5 years ago) on the first try.
Didn't expect anything else this time.
Went off bcp 2/99 - started to try 5/99.
First few cycles were fine, but then everything
started to go haywire. Cycles of 45 days etc. Bought the fertility monitor to help determine O -
but was finding out it was day 22, 25 and 31!!
Went for annual in Dec. -
he said that was too late to O
    and suggested Clomid.
First cycle of clomid was a bust - but I did notice I had no EWCM -
actually was very dry - so...
this cycle - 50 mg of Clomid days 5-9,
EPO 1300 mg from AF to O, green tea,
and Clear Plan Easy fertility monitor.
O'd day 17 - bbs started to feel sensitive
in shower on 7 dpo - cramping like AF 10 dpo,
temps went triphasic 11 dpo - and was getting faint
lines on Aimstick - went for blood test yesterday
and found out results this morning! Whew. Already
starting to obsess though - he wants me to repeat
blood test in a week -
I guess to check HCG levels -
is this standard or is he concerned about something??
    EEK. THank you everyone!!!
    I still can't believe it.
Sending major positive thoughts to everyone
and can't wait to see you on alumnae board!!

    AFTER 15 MOS., 2 M/C, 2 IUI, IT'S ++++++++++++++++++++++(m, long)
After 2 miscarriages, 15 months of ttc,
    6 months of infertility treatment,
2 iui's, and *low* sperm count,
    we have success!

I want to offer hope to the hopeless.
We were beginning to think that we might
    not get pregnant at all!
    My husband is 43, I'm 31,
and he has been married before,
but with no children in 10 years.

After he told me that he had low sperm count,
    you can't believe how surprised
we were to actually be pregnant last May
(5 months of ttc). That happiness was not to last
long, I miscarried at 6 weeks (I was supposed to be
due on my husband's birthday, January 28).
Our next miscarriage was in September at 5 weeks.
At that point we found an infertility specialist.
They checked and found out that my progesterone
was low! So I went on Crinone to try to support
    any possible pregnancy.
She also did more blood work and found that I
    had slightly elevated antiphospholipid antibodies
which prevent the embryo from receiving the
nutrition it needs from the uterus.
    Ladies---this is the reason
for taking your baby aspirin every day.

When we had no luck with the aspirin and Crinone,
she suggested that we get my dh's sperm count done
again. They hadn't done it right away,
    since we had conceived naturally.
It was low! She suggested that with low sperm count
and my problems, the best answer was IUI.
I took 100mg Clomid and then Repronex,
followed by the ultrasound and the hcg shot,
    then insemination. Everything went beautifully
the first time--two eggs spotted on the ultrasound,
decent sperm volume--but with NO results,
    I was so disheartened.

    Our second IUI--
everything that could go wrong did!
The ultrasound turned up no eggs on one ovary,
and she couldn't find the other one!
She just took a shot at it! Then, you
won't believe this, my husband likes to
fool around before he has to give the
    sample to make it easier--well
things just went a little too far and he
ejaculated less than an hour before
we had to go in for his sample!
It was really hard (pardon the pun)
to get another sample from him,
but it finally came out (again, pardon the pun).
I just knew this one was a wash!

I went in 7dpo and my progesterone was in
the acceptable range, but I just waited
to get my period, I even ordered the drugs
for the next round of IUI. 14dpo with no Aunt Flo
showing I took an hpt, I nearly passed out,
it was +, I rushed up to my husband's work and showed him,
he wanted to wait for the blood test,
which I had yesterday, so far everything is a go!

However, I am terrified of losing another one.
I just don't think I can take that again!

    Over the last few months,
my dh's sperm count continued to improve,
I'm not sure if it is completely attributable,
but he was taking the Dr. Wallach vitamins and minerals,
and dh is even an insulin-dependent diabetic.

I haven't been around much lately,
it was hard seeing the names add up and scroll by every week,
but as I said, I want to offer hope.
Keep informed, keep trying, keep after your doctor,
keep asking questions and pressing them to get
    what you want and deserve.

God bless you all on your journey
as I hope that I may continue on mine!
