I am new to this but would like some advice if anyone can offer some. I am 23 and have been recently diagnosed with pcos. I just found out b/c I have been on bc since I was 16 due to irregular cycles. I got married and we decided that we wanted to ttc. I got off the bc and had no sign of a period so dr started me on provera. (This was back in november) since then I have started metformin (began at 500mg twice day but increased to 1000mg twice daily but may have to back down due to upset stomach) and started prenatal vitamins. My question is what is the average amount of time it takes women on metformin to start ovulating and having normal periods without having to take provera each time to induce period? and also my dr gave me an rx for clomid to start when I decide too but I am just a little nervous about it due to the rate of multiple births...my dr told me about it and said she herself was a twin due to clomid. I am ready to be a mom and wish there were more answers out there for people with pcos or just people ttc in general. Any thoughts or opions are greatly appreciated! Thanks and sorry so long! ;)
