    Hello girls! Update

<< Report this Post to TTC >>

Hello to those who remember me & to those who are new since I was last on. I haven't been on since like May. Since then I have done 5 IUI's. With of course no PG results. The fourth time looked really promising, I had about 14 eggs (yes 14, & yes painful!!) & DH had a count of about 3 mil with 59% motility. Which for us was great since our 1st time the condomS (plural)broke & we only ended up with a count of 2500 then we brought some in the next day & it went up to 250,000. So they consider below 5 mil. low. We were bummin, plus my car broke down on the way to bring in the swimmers! it was horrible!!! lol!

The other times we had counts of about 250,000 to 2 mil. so when we had 3 mil & so many eggs we tho9ught this has to be it! But no. The 5th IUI we had a low count again of I think 1/2 a mil.

After that I had large cyst on each ovary, so I went on BC for three weeks. I went in Tues (this wk.) & cyst are gone. So today I started the shots again & this will be our last IUI.

See our ins. works out that it will pay half of IUI's & I get a total of 6 until I become PG then it starts all over. (unless no PG then I am done) However, I have a $800 out of pocket max a yr! Which of course I hit that with the first IUI! Plus I have a $500 OOP max a yr for meds which is seperate. & of course I hit that the first time as well (shots are expensive as you all know!)

So we decided to do all 6 this yr. hoping we wouldn't even need that many. Now the only reason I did #5 & am doing #6 is just so DH doesn't look back and say "well maybe if we woulda done the last two, or that last one!"

I have no hope of this one working & that is ok. Now I am on a mission to raise $18G for IVF. I figure yard sale, sell his old motorcycle for at least $1200, all my friends & family have opted out of Christmas gifts to put the money towards our IVF fund & just giving us money for it! We can do it.

Which leads me to has anyone heard of the ARC program? My dr. is involved with it but his stupid financial people were trying to talk me out of it & act like it wasn't so great. Typical. My fertility dr. charges about $10G for each IVF. But with ARC & $18G I get two fresh cycles & two frozen. I figure that has to be better & even if I get PG on the 2nd try it would still be cheaper then the actual office prices. Know what I mean? Plus they have this refund thing where if you pay a couple thousand more & it doesn't work you get a refund of the $18G, you just lost the couple G's extra you put towards the refund policy thing.

So anyway that is my latest update! sorry so long! I can't believe I wasn't on here during the whole time I was going through IUI's, I think it mighta just been to hard! every time I got another BFN it got worse & worse! I was better last time tho b cuz I basically have given up on IUI like I said earlier.

Thanks for reading! Hope everyone is doing good! Leia
