hi pat, good luck with your ivf cycle, it was the only thing that helped me get pg after several disappointments. im 29 and have a mild case of PCOS. DH is fine, Anyway...
My cycle/experience
June 1st- started BCP for 21 days and got my period on the 25th day. I started lupron injections on day 19 until ER. I went in for baseline on the 27th and started stims,,, menupor and braville. they monitored me everyday and the dose changed sometimes 2 of 1, sometimes 1 and 1, sometimes half depending on the blood and u/s results. July 7th was hcg shot, ER on july 9. For 4 days i took medrol. They retrieved 19 eggs and 18 fertilized. i went in for a 3 day transfer and put back 2 8cell grade A & B embryos. None were frozen. I am on 2 prog supp, 2 estrodiol pills, and one PIO shot per day, also took baby aspirin and vitamins,,, quit smoking, drinking, caffeine, exersise, and sex after ET.
It was a long journey, and i cant believe i am finally pg and i am still worried, i just wish i knew everything is going to be fine and im going to go full term. People have told me that its a natural way to feel,,, which still dont help because i got pg in an "unnatural" way.
but overall, i am happy and have told family and close friends... i felt maybe i should wait but i wanted to share my joy. DH and i kept the ivf a secret and we didnt want to keep me being pg a secret. we are so excited!!
i wish you the best of luck and i will be lurking on the ivf board so keep posting i want to read about your bfp!! :)
