Another thing too that bothers me is that my dad went at the crack of dawn to be the first one to get an Ice Age 3 DVD for my nephew for xmas, but they can't go and buy Hailey something over the next few weeks??!! My mom confessed that to me when I asked her if they were buying my nephew's gifts or if my sister was doing it for them like they expect me to.

OTOH, if I just left it up to them, I'd worry she'd only get Dollar store crap. They used to ask me for a list, which is fine because I can understand they may not know what she wants/likes, but they will go under the amount they claim they spent, then buy crap from the dollar store....seems like to cover up that they didn't spend much.

I just don't get it. If it was me, I would look so forward to buying my grandkids presents and want to spend probably more than I should. Also, Hailey doesn't have many other relatives buying her gifts (and they know this), so I kind of feel bad for her that she gets the majority of her stuff from DH and I and not much from anyone else.
