My first course of clomid i was given 50 mg days 3-7 but the reading was far too high. I am now on clomid days 3,5, and 7 at 50 mg which the doc say's is the right level for me. Feeling very depressed. I was due on 3 days ago and I am just waiting for it now because like every other month for the last three years I know it will happen eventually.. I came across this site whilst looking to see if there were any side effects because all i have done for the last few days is cry and shout... My poor Husband. Keeley I am 29 years old and on my 2nd month of Clomid 50 mg days 5-9. I was ttc with my first husband for about 7 years. My second husband and I have been ttc for one year eight months. During my first month on Clomid, the side effects weren't bad. Mild headaches, and mild hot flashes after taking my last pill, and a little emotional, but not bad. I am now on my second month, also @ 50mg. I literally just took my second pill about 30 minutes ago. No side effects yet, but after reading some clomid stories on this site, I am worried of them being worse this month. I will deal with it because having a child with my DH is well worth it!! Good luck to all!!!!
HI CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS SITE. TTC IS SUCH A HEART WRENCHING EMOTIONAL TIME, ITS GREAT TO BE ABLE TO TALK TO OTHERS WHO UNDERSTAND AND CARE. IAM 36YRS HAD PCS SINCE EARLY TWENTIES. WITH ALL THE NORM SYMPTOMS. TTC NATURALLY FOR FIVE YEARS, THEN DID 6 IVF CYCLES, AND CONCEIVED WITH A FROZEN EMBRYO. SHES NOW 8. PCOS HAD RETURNED AFTER THAT PRG MY GYNO DRILLED HOLES IN MY OVARIES TO HELP THE EGGS ESCAPE AND I TOOK CLOMID AND BECAME PRG ON SECOND CHILD ON FIRST ATTEMPT HES NOW 5. JUST TALKING ABOUT THE ABOVE BRINGS BACK MEMORIES THAT BRING TEARS TO MY EYES. IT SOUNDS SO SIMPLE TO LIST WHAT HAPPENED, BUT THAT IS NOT INCLUDING THE HEART ACHE OF EVERY NEGATIVE RESULT! LADIES HANG IN THERE , DETERMINATION AND THE FAITH AND SPIRIT OF MOTHERHOOD WILL GET YOU THROUGH. TRACYLEE
My daughter was conceived 4 years ago on Clomid - at the time I was being monitored everyday and concieved the first month at 50mg. I don't remember having any side effects that time. I'm just starting my second month again at 50mg in an effort to concieve #2. This time I got the presciption from my family doctor and am not being montitored (1 year wait to get an appt. at the fertility clinic) which I find very scarey and confusing. It was nice having someone tell you exactly what was happening and when to time everything. I've had a lot side effects this time around: headaches daily - 24 hours a day, sinus pain, moodiness, cramping at ovulation. After I ovulated last month I was convinced I was pregnant - sore breasts, nauseau constantly, sore back, cramping, increased sense of smell - I even think I had implantation bleeding. But I wasn't pregnant, so this month I'm more prepared for all the symptons. Its a wonderful drug - but it really messes with you.

I am 29 years old, TTC for 24 mo. I did 2 cycles of Clomid, achieved pregnancy on cylce 2, but miscarried very early. That was late dec, early Jan. Had a normal cycle, now on Clomid again, 50mg. My first month of clomid I was horribly dizzy for 3 days, o/w a little moody, my husband described it as "edgy"! This month initially was very moody, almost comical! Now on day 17, just really bloated and hungry. Good luck to all, Bridget started using clomid in July of 2001 and got pregnant the first try I have a little boy who is almost a year old. I am again taking clomid to have another child this will be my third, this is my second dose of clomid the first dose I took I did ovulate, but no preg. Still I am only taking 50mg and I had the worst hot flashes and moodiness, I wanted to divorce my husband when I take this meds, so I asked him what he wants me to do and he said if it helps give us a baby then I can handle it. When you look at what you can get out of the meds and side effects it is well worth. Wish you all luck. Hopefully this does works so my husband can be put out of his misery, if not we will keep trying. Hopefully I will report back with good news.
Sharon
