  Hello
I was diagnosed with PCOS 3 months ago. The gave me Proveral to start off my cycle then Clomid to take on days 5-10

Well I must say I took the 50 MG for 3 months and I went to my Dr for a refill 4 days ago, I am 9 days late for my period and the Dr tested me for PG. It came out faintly positive but she said its too soon to confirm and to come back in a month

if I dont get my period.
I have had VERY sore nipples and I feel like Im getting flu like symptoms as well as extreme fatigue. I take a home PG test on Tuesday and I keep praying and praying this will be positive too. Good luck to you!! Kelly

Well, I started out on Clomid 50mg. That month was not too bad,
a couple of mild hot flashes and mild moodiness, but not much worse than normal PMS.
No O that month. So, on to 100mg the second month. That month was great!
Very little side effects at all. I was thrilled. No O that month either.
So, on to month three at 150mg. I was miserable, depressed, extreme fatigue,
terrible sadness, and overall misery. I never felt so terrible in my life.
I definitely did not expect to feel like not getting out of bed for days on end.
That was the worst. I did some research and discovered that my doctor
was not following up with me as well as I felt he should have been, so I changed.
The new physician has diagnosed me with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.
So, maybe ask your doctor about this. If the first one would have hit on it,
I may not have started on the Clomid first.
Symptoms can be, carrying weight around your midsection,
having great difficulty losing weight, excess facial hair,
hair around your nipples or on your lower abdomen or back,
fatigue, and many others. There is treatment and
it does not mean you cannot conceive,
but there are other methods of medication to try.
Good luck to all of you and keep us in your prayers. Michelle B.

I started taking clomid in December,100mg,
on day 5 of my cycle for 5 days.
My very first day on it I started to have side effects.
I got the head spins pretty bad,I work on a computer
all day at work so that probably didn't help,
but it felt like everything was moving in front of me
in slow motion, because it was all spining.
When this was happening I sat there and stared like a was in another world.
That happened for the 5 days I was on the pills, and then some days after that.
The second month I didn' t have any side effects, not even the spins.
But on the third month the head spins came back,
and I got some hot flashes, not as bad as the other ladies I read about,
but I would be really hot one moment, then get cold again.
The first week of February was my third month on clomid,
so if I am not pregnant by march I have to go to the dr.
again and take the third step, which for me is laparoscopy,
which I really don't want to do,
but if it helps me then I am all for it.......

Before I learned of your website,
I spent a good bit of time researching my
fertility options.
I searched the word CLOMID and found several articles
pertaining to the drug and all necessary information about it,
as well as other fertility treatments.

My experience with clomid was unsuccessful with me
being put on 50mg from day2 till day6 of my cycle for 4 months.
I suffered very mild hot flushes but really bad head aches and
dizziness which made me feel so sick
But I thought I would conceive after all that so I put up with
it only to be told there is nothing else to help me at this stage
and we just have to go it alone again. We have been TTC with #2
for 2years but I will not give up yet.
I am lucky We already have a beautiful 2 year old son who was
conceived naturally after 14months of TTC.

I just finished my first round of clomid (50mg) yesterday.
I didn't have any really serious side effects..although by day 2
I was starting to have some hot flashes. Actually, today seems
to be the worst so far....I had to keep taking my
sweatshirt on and off all day! I just suddenly get really really warm...
then break out into a sweat!

The only other effect seems to be that I am a bit more moody...
I tend to get a bit testy! LOL

I am praying that the clomid works fast so I don't have to deal with
these sweats anymore! ha ha! Thanks and ++++ thoughts to everyone!

Was recently put on clomid after trying for two years.
Only experienced slight cramping
and very slight nausea as side effects.
I haven't read any progesterone level results after a round of clomid,
thought I'd put mine out for comparison. Before clomid,
level was 9, after first round of 50 mg, level is 45!
Dr. said I had a "super ovulation."
Am 33 years old and now very optimistic. Paige

I took clomid for two months, 50mg.
The only side effect i had was tender breasts.
I gave up on getting pregnant and accepted being infertile.
The six months later I got pregnant with my son who is now two years old.
Don't stress about it, it will happen! Good luck. Melissa

I used clomid for the first two years while trying to concieve. I am now almost 26 and have been trying unsuccessfully to have a child with my husband who suffers from a low sperm count.

I found that while on clomid i suffered a bit of depression and felt that there was not enough information available from my doctor to inform my husband or myself on this drug.

I was prescribed this drug by my old doctor before they even did any sperm test on my husband, to see if they could help with my ovulation, and after two years on it only to find out that we would have a one percent success rate taking clomid, i got scared and wondered if taking that and playing with natures body clock was the right thing to be doing.

I felt that being young and afraid to ask was a set back when dealing with fertility problems, and that my first doctor was in it for the money and nothing else. My visits would last for about five mins just long enough to get my clomid perscription. I would encourage anyone of any age to write down questions and dont be afraid or embarressed to ask.

My husband and I are now doing Micro-Injection Fertilization which is yet to be successful for us. But who knows what will happen in the future?
