I got pregnant the month I took clomid, just once. I was 39 when I conceived. I am trying to conceive now and it hasn't happened yet, even though I have taken three rounds of clomid. Waiting and hoping for a miracle this time.

And it did! I am 41 now and I just found out that Clomid worked again, I am pregnant.Thank you

I'm really appreciating reading all the different struggles and success stories. I really need them right now.

My husband, 32, and myself, 28, have been trying for 14 months now, with no success. I found out I wasn't ovulating, my progesterone level was at one. This month I was my first month on clomid and my levels went all the way up to 21. But I'm not pregnant. I'm super depressed about it. I feel like its happening all around me, except to me. I'm so discouraged but trying to lean on God for strength.

I'm praying this 2nd time will be good news.

Thanks everyone.

I'm 28, TTC for 2+ years, Clomid cycle 4

I am on my 4th round of Clomid. I've had intense hot flashes for a few days in the 1st 3 cycles but that was it. They upped my dosage from 50 mg to 100 mg this round (IUI scheduled when I O) and the hot flashes have lasted almost a week now and I am extremely emotional! I feel like I'm crazy and my poor dh gets the brunt of my sadness and anger! Lol but hoping this month I get a bfp! Baby dust!

WARNING: Side effects MAY be LONG TERM, not temporary.

I just finished my 5th month of Clomid, First 3 months at 100 mg and the last 2 months at 150 mg.

Right away I experienced night sweats/hot flashes, headaches, and strange painful lower abdominal pain during my cycle only (the pain so intense that I could not stand up straight and felt bruised for days afterward). The last 2 months on the 150 mg dose it started to affect my eyes....when in a dark room for lengthy periods I get shimmering in my peripheral vision and strange glowing lines when I move my head. I also get light flashes throughout the day, not only at night. I have confirmed that it is Clomid related and was told that the symptoms would stop after I stopped the 5 day doses each month and may reactivate when I take them again the next month.

WARNING: there is a possibility that the eye problems can last several YEARS. I have been taken off Clomid because of my experiences (and lack of success at such a high dose) but I am still experiencing the abdominal pain during my cycle and still have the eye problems (I even stopped driving at night). It has been 2 months since my last dose.

We all take this drug because we want children, just make a conscious choice and know the risks!

Hello ladies im 26 yrs old my hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 1 yr. We have a 7 yr old daughter and thought it was time for our second child. I went to see my Dr to see why i couldnt get pregnant she said my hormones were just acting up so she started me on provera since i dont have regular menstrual cycles so i took it for ten days n on exactly the 7th day after taking it i got my menstrual now im starting my first cycle of clomid days 5-9 and so far the only side effects ive had is breast tenderness and mild hotflashes.. Im so nervous but my husband is giving me a lot of support n reading this comments from u ladies is helping me relax a bit.. Hopefully next month i can recomment with good baby news.. Good luck to all of us ladies..

Hi, I've been ttc my 2nd child for over a year. Doctor put me on clomid in May and I ovulated on day 19. Minor side effects: hot flashes and mood swings. 14 days later I got a positive pregnancy test, however resulted in a chemical pregnancy9. But good news is that the clomid worked! I'm now on day 19 after my miscarriage (not on clomid this month, dr wants me to wait a couple months after miscarriage), and I got a positive ovulation test, and this afternoon had severe sharp pain in left ovary for 2 hours. Dr. advised me to go into ER in case of cysts caused from clomid, but the pain went away, so I think it was just ovulation pain, which I've never had before. I'm hoping that the one round of clomid jump started my ovulation and hopefully I get prego this month. If not I'll be getting back on clomid in another month. Good LUCK everyone: Jessica

Hey there.I wish I would have seen your site before I took the Clomid. I am a healthy 33 year old who already has one healthy 4 year old boy. My hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for nearly 2 years, so I went to my IHC provider and had some tests done. My period was slightly irregular (11 times a year instead of 12), so I was given a prescription for Clomid. After 3 months of taking it without results, I stopped. Never at any point was I warned that my coverage would be terminated as a result of taking Clomid. I can't believe my doctor didn't tell me. This is such a huge deal for us. I don't know what we're going to do. More women need to know about this. It's just so deceptive and unfair.

I would also like to add I am experiencing a loss of Appetite. Down 18lbs in 2 weeks. Severe Depression and Anxiety. The Doctors say it isn't the Clomid that is doing it and to avoid reading things on the Internet, but how can I ignore the Stories of those who have actually used the Medicine per the word of a Doctor who never has?????????????

I'm writing this to give my personal account of Clomid.

I just finished my first and only round of Clomid. On it I had hot flashes, I took it at night since I read that was easier but I never could get comfortable at night because I was hot then cold it was awful. I also suffered from a horrible migraine it lasted about 3 of the 5 days that I was on it! Then I was beyond thirsty, dry mouth and dry down below. Although I was on Provera before that so I was like the Sahara. The week after I finished (my O week) I started with this pelvic pain/pressure. I went to the doctor the following week when it was not gone, since I knew that it couldn't possibly be ovulation lasting this long. I was sent for blood work and an ultrasound which showed a small fibroid in the fundus of my uterus. It was not there before the provera and clomid therapies.

As I said this was my first cycle of Clomid, and as I learned it does create an environment of increased estrogen which yes can contribute to fibroids. In all of this I still did not get my BFP, I know that Clomid works for a lot of ppl that is why I decided to try it but in my case it did not. My advice to anyone thinking about taking it is to make sure that you are monitored. There should be blood work done and ultrasounds for follicle tracking.

Since then I have decided to stop with the lab created hormones and I purchased the Herbs for Her #8a to get rid of this fibroid before I continue to TTC.

I conceived on the first cycle of Clomid! I am 22 years old, my boyfriend is 32. We have always wanted a baby, but just began actively trying this month. We knew it would be difficult becauase my periods are very irregular. Only 2-3 a yr, and it has never been determined if I ovulate on my own. My Dr. put me on 10 days of provera this month to give me a period. She then prescribed me Clomid on cd 3-7. My only side effects were emotional. I am a quiet person but i remember going into a room alone and screaming in anger. I was not myself. I used digital OPK and i got a + on CD 12. We were BD every other night from CD 8-16. I have also been taking pre-natel vitmains for 6 months, and I took a baby asprin every day starting on CD 8. Like magic I snapped out of the grey cloud of Clomid about 8 dpo. I finally felt like myself again. On 9 dpo I noticed that my nipples were a little sore. Within the next day they looked swollen and I developed blue veins on my breast. I took a pregnancy test at that time, one of the internet cheapies and it was BFN. My breast continued to change and I began to feel very queemish if I had an empty stomach for any time at all. On 12 dpo I took a generic First Response HPT and it was immediatly a BFP. I then followed with the regular Equate brand, it was much more faint but defintitely a (+). I was so exited I couldn't sleep that night. This almost seemed too easy.. Now I am just praying for a healthy pregnancy. Thanks for sharing your stories I enjoyed reading each of them during my "waiting" period this month.

It is so relieving to know others are on the same journey as me. I'm 29 and my husband 33. We had some routine health checks before wanting to start a family before finding out not only that my husband has only 4% viable sperm but that I have pcos and not ovulating. We are about to start clomid and although it's so very, very unlikely for us to conceive naturally, we are giving it a go in the hope to conceive naturally with our own little miracle. One thing is for sure, couples like you and I will be truly blessed when we finally have that baby in our arms.

I am 26yrs old and have been trying to concieve for about 14mnths now. Started my first dose of clomid this month on day 2-6 of my cycle. Had sex on the 7th day and all my problems began;severe abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, back ache, cramping, bloating which went on for 8days and is still on. All my ob/gyn has said is it cud be side effects from the drug but a scan will be done when the bleeding stops. It is so bad I can not move around without some assistance. I am never taking clomid again!!!! Regardless of the outcome of the scan or this dose. It is the most terrible experience ever.
Wish you all luck with the drug.

I was on 2 Cycles of Clomid with an HCG Trigger. I did not get Pregnant. Now I am experiencing EXTREME Fatigue. Heart Palps, Hot Sensation in my Face. I just feel weak. I sometimes feels nauseated, but the fatigue is what's getting to me because it's hard to do your everyday stuff when you have NO energy and you feel all shaky. I am done with trying. If it's Gods will I will conceive.
Sincerely Ronnika
